Chopped Front Wing Tips on a HA Front Foil

Coming in from a session today I noticed a chap heading out who had chopped the ends off his HA Front wing reducing the overall width.

I've not seen this done before. Is it common and has anybody done it and found benefits?

One benefit is safety..

It can also be the result of a repair of tip damage..

Better turning but sacrificing glide.

We need a modular front wing. Build as you need for whichever condition
