Only the carnarvon one might happen and the midwest one is off for good? Or is crew still gathering somewhere midwest for downwinders and beers when the midwest was? Will be around from mid october for 2 months and was always keen to get to one of those.

Hey Alex,

Carnarvon Windfest and Shark bay downwinder are both on but not until January so you will probably miss them. There is talk of a downwinder event in Exmouth but that's still just a discussion, would probably be in October if it was to happen.

Hey Itsmealex,
It's not windfest - but I hope to make it awesome...
In collaboration with Windsurfing WA and Kitbeoarding WA we're hosting a big seasons opener at City Beach this year. Have a squiz, would love to get the whole community there - a great place to initiate other events too.

Hi mate. Just looked at your website........

A little confused tbh - are there actually any 'on the water' event happening???? According to the schedule it doesn't look that way and the tickets don't seem to buy access to any racing, freestyle, downwinders, slalom, etc.
Maybe give us more of a head up on who the event is trying to attract.

On a different note - its a massive shame to have lost the ledge to lanno and l2l races as these were amazing events

As already pointed out in the thread we have some epic events already in place throughout wa......

shark Bay downwinder -- which is an absolutely epic race and the after party is off the scale.

Carnarvon windfest - catering for all windsports. Kite wise it has a well attended freestyle event and downwind race through some amazing locations - last season run despite difficult conditions.

Boss of the Bay (safety bay and also the same weekend as freestyle nationals) - 40 entries in its first year (2022) but also an all in race for foilers, twin tips, windsurfers, wind dingers, boats and more

Get behind these events and the socials after and they will soon mirror the windfests of old but all of them need your support to be a success ??
