Hey everyone, I bought a secondhand setup about 3 years ago, gave it a go a few times with the basic beginner type stuff but after that I seemed to really struggle getting the weather window just right, then just lost interest. I'm based in launceston so I don't have the best locations to learn close by but I there is some dams. I was drivig passed symmon plains on the weekend and I have alwasy wondered why you couldn't kiteboard on these huge dams. They are probaby great to learn on. They're quite shallow, no waves to deal with. You just either have to try and find who owns them............ or ask for forgiveness later.

No reason why you couldn't I guess. I reckon the wind would be pretty gusty in land tho. Coastal is always better in my opinion, seems a lot of good spots up north within a fairy close drive out of launy that's what I would stick to good luck with it ??
