Nope really blue sky not a cloud around the water was / is salty as hell at the moment no rain here for over 6 mths . I was getting a real tingling feeling in my mouth and just put it down to the salt in the water . I hope it is just a static shock and not my gopro having an internal electric brake down but it is certainly weired .

thanks matrix I am not as talented when it come to editing footage and that was what I was after some one to do a frame by frame . That is one big gooby if it is .

started to get worried as to weather I had to put one of those static straps on my kite like they have on a car ( bloody long one)

St Elmo's Fire?

Does your kite have metal anywhere? Bridle connectors etc?

A few years back I was kiting with a massive storm front on the horizon. - black as.
Me and one other guy were out .
It was raining but the wind was good so we had some time before the storm reached us.
Yeah there was some lightning in the cloud!

Strange though, every time I left the water ( just popping off the chop as I cruised along) I would hear a sharp CRACK from behind me , under the board!!!

Took me awhile to work out what it was!

After Matrx grabbed the stills I have solved it.

It's jizz

Were you being followed by a jealous wind surfer?
