Tips for Double island as a newby

Heading up to DI tomo is there any tips i should know not to anoy anyone and to get the most out of a good trip.

pray for wind, not looking to flash
take a shovel so if ya get bogged you can help yourself out.
Make sure your your esky is full of piss so if you do get stuck you can offer refreshments.
and seriously, its a great spot enjoy yourself and take your SUP.

Mate, looks like DI will be awesome tomorrow. With 30deg weather forecast the northerly should be pumping up there. Small chance of a storm in the arvo.

Yeah, wind looks reasonable for tomorrow, particularly in the arvo. If you haven't kited there before and you do get good wind, you will be blown away, awesome spot. Don't be fooled if the wind seems ordinary on the beach or near the point, once out into the lagoon it's amazing how much stronger it can be. High tide is middayish, so lagoon will be good mid-arvo onwards I guess.

It's pretty much the end of whale season, so 'most' of the calf's and following great whites would have passed through by now

So that just leaves the bull sharks and screaming kids to contend with :)
