Hi People
The below pic is "Shredder The Tree" I named him this because this is what he will do to your kite(or You).
He is located at The Spit down in Albany and sits near the boat ramp.
Can i suggest that if you are a beginner or cant control your kite in a wind shadow, take the extra 2 minutes to walk 100m upwind to the sand spit to launch and land your kite. The wind is cleaner and hazards are far less.
Shredder is tall and cant be climbed as it is fragile, he has eaten about 10 kites so far.
The one in the pic is already half removed and had to be dragged out by my ute with a rope.
Please be safe and sensible down here as us locals love this spot.
Cheers
Pete
ye this guys was lucky, the kite had 1 L shape Tear 50cm, 4 5-10cm tears and about 5 pin holes. Very hard to see in pic.
Its amazing how strong kitelines and bridles are. The tree broke before the lines did.
Amongst all the posers, claimers and kooks (inc. me) there is one on this this forum who truly shreds!
All hail the king of shredding!
