There are no changes to the local rules to kiting in Cottesloe as laid in the WAKSA location guide www.waksa.org.au/locations/?view=location&id=23.

In the last 6 months the Cottesloe Council has redone the signage in Cottesloe. The two old faded signs at the bottom of Salvado St and Rosendo St have now been replaced with three signs with a different design. The old signs had a kiter symbol with arrows pointing to the rigging and relaunching area.

The new signs now have a kiter symbol with a cross through it. These signs are located at the bottom of Princes St, the bottom of Salvado St and the beach stairway near Phonebox's. They do not ban kiting in Cottesloe just in those exact locations as per the local rules. Some months ago WAKSA bought the possible confusion to the Council's attention and they are looking at making the signs more clear as to the kiting area. There is no ban on kiting in Cottesloe and any enquires can be directed to the Cott Council on 92855000 or WAKSA at president@waksa.org.au.

WAKSA asks for all the local rules to be observed and respected. Please rig up between Rosendo and Salvado only when kiting in that area or we may not even have that in the future.

I think people are whinging at local council rules and not waksa juddy, if you actually look at it it was just a sign renewal , nothing to do with waksa , the council kept around 10 people busy renewing that sign

Between Rosendo and Salvado, is this a joke, perhaps the narrowest part of that whole beach, 10 years ago it may have been different. Not use at all now.
