Is tennis elbow a wave specific kite injury ?
I would have thought a fin cut and bar end in the face are the norms ? Is a board injury like broken fins and snapped boards on the list of common injuries?? LOL

Tennis elbow or golfers elbow (I can never remember which one) is a function of too much bar pressure. Get a kite with less bar pressure.

Yeah gashes from fins would be common. twisted knees/ankles when getting worked in the waves with one binding still in.

drowning and death...

Oh yeah. pitching waves have slapped me in the balls on several occasions. I get then back by riding the waves like the next door neighbours sheep.

The old ball slap off whitewash when timed correct brings a sickly feeling in the bottom of the gut,
Anyone who's had an intercostal strain especially around the shoulder blades will vouch it's as bad as a kick in the balls,
Had this one and would bring me to my knees
Speaking of knees I had a big wack on the outside of my knee by a wave, inverting it,
Put me out of action for about 6 weeks, I do ski squats now as part of my exercises to keep them strong including my cycling, knees would surely be the most common

ever overhear a noobie kiter talk about kiting to their non kiting mates....?

if you have, you'd have to agree, the most common kiting injury would have to be wrist damage from all the wanking that goes on

Not an injury but this furker brings tears to my eyes
You come in kick the board off into the shallows and have a chinwag to your mate
The backwash grabs your board , slams the rail against your shinns and the other rail grinds up against your feet
Add the pressure of the backwash for extra pain
I do ride the aptly named shinn boards though

Shin injured from Shinn boards common while being casual near Shorey.Hahaha.
Wife belted by board near her temple,in waves.
Could have been serious. But Gath helmet protected her melon.
Also Bursytis in shoulder caused by a uncontrolled body drag.
Swollen sore ankles from long session ,straps probs overtight not wanting to loose board.Did'nt notice having to much fun.

That was a pretty lame board off ...dongora winds were shrinking my sphincter...

well mick it is the left arm from holding the bar during the board off and from looping..repetitive action, but I'm addicted. Arms nearly stuffed hey. Underaoth has given me some exercises to do...I suppose rest is due...... but fck that.

Tennis Elbow from my old Slingy Octane 13m, long since retired.

I busted an eardrum last year which was horrible.

Broke the 5th metacarpal in my right hand 3 months ago (punched my board away from my face mid crash)
