Just curious if the duotone Jamie was named after anybody? Or if it's just the name of the model?
Thanks for any reply, cheers
Just want thank dk for shareing a competitors video its amazing how much tribalism can stunt the sport as a whole.
From memory your partner and you are working forrrr..... fly surfer now? If so have they tried hucking you off any dunes on a skywalk yet?
Thanks mate, someone asked, I knew the answer, Jamie and I have about the same amount of history in this sport. Kind of funny to see people now know the board more than him.
Su and I are now both based in Cape Town, working for Airush.
You might be thinking of our friend Luke, recently joined Flysurfer/Skywalk.
Cheers
DK
Fun when kiters come in asking for a JAY MIE and you direct em over to the hai mes

DK, speaking of knowing boards I came across a pic of this gem that I used as my first board back in 2005. Look familiar?
Wow Azza2u!
Serious classic that one.
Built in the summer of 2002/3 in our original factory in Christchurch.
Single shot vacuum bagged on an aluminum deck rocker table, PVC foam core, 3x 6oz glass laminate, grey gel coat base finish and double cap rails.
The real gold for me is it's from the first run of boards we ever did with cotton fabric inlay deck graphics.
I believe this particular board was loaned to Gavin Broadbent (Mr Slingshot NZ) for the 02/3 summer as he was having issues sourcing SS boards at the time.
If you look closely around the 11min mark in this old classic Christchurch kiting film '23' you'll even see it:
