Stone Surf Quad
222 cm x 88 litres
Stone Surf Designs Quad tomotail.
Shaped by Mark Stone and ridden by Jaeger in one of the national windsurfing competitions. Previously used by Mark as his light wind board.
Planes quick and goes upwind really well. Turns on it's compact outline and V or back foot pressure on short tail. Great light-to medium wind board with a secure planted feel. Custom made carbon fins with medium flex.
218 cm long, 59 cm wide. Volume is 88 litres approximately using empirical volume calculator. Double concave with V with a fast tail rocker. This is the custom version of the Starboard A.I.R with a blunter nose shape.
Mark Stone still produces this shape for onshore and slower wave conditions. The middle finbox "plug" could be removed for a thruster setup. Although Jaeger preferred it as a quad, so only used it as a quad.
Quad fins spaced close together for better pivot as per all SSD modern designs. Green front, gray back paint .
Bough from Mark on WA trip then sailed for three seasons in QLD.
Bomb proof construction including divinycell deck, carbon reinforcements on rails, under pads, stress areas between pads.
Closed cell PU foam (which doesn't absorb water if punctured) will outlast EPS foam boards by years.
Good condition. A few small transportation rail ding repairs and one professional mast impact repair.
Mastfoot baseplate not included.
