What is missing in the Phantasm wing range is a HA wing for light wind, like a big 926 arround 1700 sqcm.
Combine that with an 82 mast and I would order it immediately to complement my 926 which is an amazing foil, but not for the ultra light and gusty winds we get sometimes around here.
And the 82 would be my mast for shallow spots, because with the 92 I hit the ground regularly going in and out of the water. Doesn't matter on sandy bottoms, but I'm winging on rocky bottoms too.
the mast looks good, not sure about the rest of the kit .
They definitely need to offer a 82-85cm mast for wingers. Go to size for most IMO. can't believe they still recommend using Teflon tape! Seriously, who wants to use that at the beach! I think SS is the best free ride windsurf foil kit. For wingers there plenty of other great foil options I'd rather pick.
Has anyone used the PFI 730 wing (dedicated to windfoiling) for winging?
Does it work for light wind?
Does it have the glide of a high aspect wing?

in case you didn't watch the video, Phantasm foil packages will be sold a little differently for 2022. You will now buy the "Lower" as a package (front wing, fuselage, stabilizer, covers & bags) and then add the mast a la carte. This is actually a great way to sell packages as different regions seem to have different preferences for mast length.
I wonder when they will put all the information of the 22 gear on their website.
The HG Quantum 100 morphed into Phantasm looks like the wing I beg for to complement my 926 for lightwind conditions.
Btw. with a powered wing the 926 is amazing, but for gusty lightwind i want more instant lift for takeoff, like I had on my Moses 873.
Anybody tried PFI 730 or 835 for winging yet?
I wonder if these LA wings are the way to go for winging. SS stands alone in offering no big HA wings for winging.

Lots more Phantasm HA (bigger wing options), more LA wings and more masts coming down the pipe but there is no date yet!
Its not been windy enough here to test the pfi 730 for winging, for my weight it will have to be cranking... the 926 works very well in 10-22mph
Exactly what I was thinking.

so 926 goes earlier than 730? interesting

The 926 HA seems to be my go to foil for everything in puffy/lighter winds.
The glide and stall speed on the 926 HA works extremely well.
I really wish they would have some options slightly more HA options for the Slingshot Hover Glide. Something with a little more glide for pumping and downwinding
After posting the above ?? I have found out that Slingshot will be releasing two HA foil wings for the hoverglide system
I will now let you get back to phantasm thread. Apologies for minor thread hijack.

Let's just hope they've realised they were totally out of touch with their pricing last season and that they have a more realistic approach this year.
When Armstrong full carbon set up was retailing for $2800, Slingshot was selling for $3500 with an alloy fuselage... Non sense if you ask me.

haven't ridden both but that does not surprise me. more span/leading edge. foil section/thickness also plays a lot into this... of course no foil companies seem to list this as a measurement
got in a few runs on the Phantasm 926 yesterday. Lightish winds on the new Fanatic 5'0" 75l and Slick 4.0. Foil is smooth and very stable. Got some pretty good speed out of it. Seems to track in the carves well. Pretty stiff for pumping... will have to try the smaller stab and fuse. An easy foil to ride. Will be interesting to see how my wife likes it. She was very used to the Fanatic HA 1500 which I just sold. The Slingshot feels similar. She spent a couple days on the SABFoil W940/700/370... did not like it the first day, and liked it much better the 2nd day. She said it was scary fast, much less pitch stable, so she had to be much more careful, but that she enjoyed the speed, glide and ease of pump.
Components all fit together... needed to mallet together the fuse to mast connection. Screw holes on the mast could be bigger as the sides of the screws rub a little on the sides... hard to tell whether or not you are cross threading.
Mast is decently stiff. I think the small chord at the bottom makes it flexier esp in torsion. Overall weight is good. My first runs were in flat water. Need to get it in some chopswell today and see how i like it. Wondering if the winglets on the stab make for a grippy turn... maybe that's why people still like the Moses S420 stabs.
The glide and stall speed on the 926 HA works extremely well.
How much do you weigh?
For my 92 kgs the 926 works fine if i have some costant pull in the wing for picking up speed and pumping the wing not to hard.
If i'm too slow or pump to hard the 926 stalls.
With a bigger wing like my Moses 873 i just need minimal speed and two dedicated pumps and i'm up and flying.
That doesn't work with the 926.
We sometimes have wind around 5 knots with some really short 8-12 knot gusts, with the 873 these conditions are fun with the 926 hard work and often frustrating.

I agree the 926 takes more work to get going than my i84 but find the glide is better once powered up
