I was supposed to head out on the bay on Thursday but given I live outside the metro area, I don't want to be heading in and out of the lockdown area - even though I know it's still OK to windsurf.
Pykes Creek as a spot I've eyed off a few times, but given it's the same travel time for me to the bay, I never got there - has anyone sailed there, or does anyone know if it's possible?
According to web, it's safe to swim etc.
Here it is on the map: goo.gl/maps/b2fkWdt8mnG4Uxt19
Thanks in advance!
Simon
Yes sailed there many times in the past on my old JF raceboard and sometimes a freeride board. Best wind was NW which funnels down the reservoir. It can get quite gusty and can blow 20 knts plus. Water is cool to cold in summer and unbearably cold in winter. You can park launch from the boat ramp area. Best to wear booties as the rocks leading into the water can be sharp. Hope this helps.

Thanks WindHound - I got down there today, and I know what you mean with the gusts!
Water wasn't too bad with the wetsuit on, but I imagine summer would be nice.
