26-27 Oct - Swansea.

COURSE RACING - three divisions:

Windsurfer LT
R300 (techno 293, phantom 295, RSX, prodigy) and
open (foil, formula, raceboard).

Probably 3 races over one day.

FREERACE - 1 hour freerace with 15 knot minimum.

Day, location and time will be decided late next week to take advantage of best winds and conditions.

Clarence,
I've added in an Event on the WT Tidy HQ page for registrations of interest.
The event is listed as a free ticket and captures proposed participants names and Mobile #

Sounds good,
Im all for technlogy...
Hope $500 a year cost to wt is money well spent for tidy hq, or is this cost shared with AWA?
Sure it has benefits,.,,

Slow day in the office Damo? TidyHq has made administration tasks for more streamlined and effective, working pretty well for first time around.. The comment above related only to the Event registration. Not heavily used yet, but provides an organiser with some participant details for notification of changes, other than from SB posts etc..

YTD cost for Tidy HQ = $67.71 (including credit card transaction costs)
Thanks for asking,
Mort

Update on Swansea weekend.

At this stage course racing will be Saturday afternoon. Possibly Swansea, otherwise Swanwick (starting on Dolphin Sands side of river mouth).

This is the first race of the statewide "Travellers Series" for LTs and other raceboards.

Freerace is not looking promising at the moment.

More info will be posted in the coming days.

Latest forecast (BOM 1600 today) is very different to last few forecasts.

Freerace still an option.

Best day and time for course racing is not yet clear - but it will happen.

We will update as we get closer to the weekend.

Course racing will be on SUNDAY, will probably have briefing at 10:30 for 11:30 on water start. Location will be Swansea or Dolphin Sands.

Format will be decided closer to the time. Will be EITHER 2 or 3 short races (20 mins each) OR a marathon (1hr approx).

Possibility of open water marathon if conditions are right and we get boat sorted. eg Swansea to Dolphin Sands, Dolphin Sands to Swanwick.

There will NOT be a freerace event due <15 knots forecast on the weekend.

Plan for course racing as per last post.

10:30 briefing at boat ramp car park in Swansea for 11:30 on water start.

Actual location of race may not be right in Swansea itself (i.e may be at Dolphin Sands in bay or river)- so don't start rigging at Swansea boat ramp just in case.

If people are not members of WT, best if you can join online at TidyHQ to make things easier tomorrow.
