Jonesy, I hope you were a good citizen and watched them to make sure they were exercising the whole time

Yes, he has to make sure they do it properly but ... from a distance

I witnessed the 'most I Australian thing today, horrific'
whilst returning from my 'exercise' in the water , the life guards were telling scantly clad girls in micro bikinis that they could not sun bake on the beach... and asked them to move on ... what sort of Australian Male would do that I ask?!!... the worlds gone mad!
I stepped in and advised the girls that if they did a few planks, some push ups and the odd crunch in between gathering their rays of sunshine they would 'technically be exercising ' and could remain .... they thought that was a great idea and obliged ...

I know very noble of me ... it's all in the best interest of community service , I think we should spread the word ...

I was in the Kings Beach area over the weekend and the beach was filled with people. Possibly a lot of visitors. Mostly, people were maintaining a distance as per the rules, yet when the numbers are large it is not a good look and certainly not within the spirit of what the purpose of social distancing is meant to achieve. I don't agree with the fake excuse of being there for exercise when it is obvious that they are not. On the other hand we should not have to resort to handing out fines for non compliance.

Other parts of the coast take their civic responsibilities much more seriously. If we want the period of isolation to be as short as possible then everyone needs to act responsibly. From my view, I see a lot of people being so addicted to a life of pleasure that they struggle to adapt. All of us miss the freedoms we normally take for granted. Being allowed to legitimately exercise (including having a sail) will be forfeited if people use the idea of exercise when they are just spending a whole day at the beach. Try sunbaking in your backyard or on a balcony instead.

Yeah it actually become a joke here on Sunday morning, every person and their dog was our way in the morning it actually was way busier than peak summer ! 95% were not locals.
Pretty easy way to police numbers ... rego/postcode/ID checks ... locals only, keeps numbers low , keeps beaches open

turn back the brisbaneites at the pine rivers bridge, !! :)

Unfortunately, it's the idiots that screw it up for everyone else, be they a windsurfer who just wants a sail, or someone who just wants a quiet walk on the beach. They're the same f***ing d1ckheads who think they own the beach in normal times, playing their **** music on the beach when I just want to hear the waves and sound of nature, getting pissed, carrying on, not giving a **** about how their behaviour f**ks it all up for everyone else. The same f**kers who hoard food, who just refuse to apply a bit a commonsense and consideration, small minority who only think about themselves. Yes, it's going to mean we don't get to do what we want to do (windsurf), but it's everything else as well and affects people who want to do stuff that turns their crank that we probably don't even know about. Strap in for the ride, find your peace somewhere, it will end sometime, but not for a while.
