Ok so that was brilliant, easy to sail, fast, didn't get the gybes done but for a second sail in nearly 6 months it was fun.
Board is unsurprisingly stable and super comfortable, foil with 115 is incredibly stable fore and aft. Think I'll try a 0 or -1 shim as I had to drive a lot off the back foot to get it going (compared to the slingshot). The kit carries so much momentum into the gybes and tacks.
I'd actually go as far as to say you could learn to foil on the kit pretty easily.

I got an IQFoil as well for similar reasons and to get into racing (hopefully).

Only 2 sessions so far, both light wind, the last surprisingly so. I got up on the foil (briefly) after some pumping. It's much much more rewarding and effective to pump than the Blast 145, due to board width and added volume. Simple to sail while slogging.

But wow does it take some work to pump. I'm getting better but as you can see by the length of this video, I pumped a lot in very light wind and finally got flying at the very end. I could not have made my slingshot kit work in these conditions at all. Can't wait for the next ride and slightly better wind.

At least you don't need to do any "seated row" exercises at the gym anymore. The Blast should be better for higher wind conditions. What setup are you running? Might need longer fuse.

So far I've only used the 115+ on the IQFoil with the 0deg shim. May play with shims some in light wind but I think I have an idea to make pumping a little less strenuous as well...

Hard to tell from the video but the wind chop kind of looked like you were headed a bit upwind when you were doing this?

Also, (again, hard to tell from the video), don't be shy about really pulling hard on that sail repeatedly. If you feel a bit of pressure on the sail, it may take 5, 10 or even 15 pulls to get off the water in super light wind. It does take some "adaptation" if you aren't used to it. I'll be the first to admit to feeling lazy sometimes and just wait for the gust to come down unless a good friend is beside me and then it's a matter of pride and honor to pump.

Nice kit. Hope you find it fun.

In such a light wind you should definitely try the +1 shim. I use the +1 shim in very light wind with the 1000 wing and there is a very big difference in take off speed compared to the 0 degree shim.

I was heading a little upwind then trying to force the board downwind when pumping, I'm finding the board wants to head upwind harder than the Blast for sure.

Yes it's fun. Easy to sail otherwise. Can't wait to get it out again and give it another go.

I watched my daughter on an iqfoil 85 training session. She seemed to be struggling to get going in light winds despite a big foil sail, and others on free ride kit seemed to be doing better. Then they did a practice race - she pumped up aggressively and left the freeride guys for dead. She later explained that she was struggling with fitness due to lockdown, as if you cant nail your foiling gybes its pretty tiring to get up again at each corner, so was conserving her energy prior to the practice race. Key is to get up, and stay up, apparently. She has only used the zero shim so far.

Similar conditions as last video I posted, same zero shim. I had a faster/longer earlier flight but my gopro wasn't working then for some reason. Can't wait to get fully locked in with harness/back strap next time. I was a little bit worried about outsailing the sunset today after work

Second session was at the local lake, getting the hang of it all now and boy it's fun. So much fun belting upwind like a lunatic then just going so broad is freaky. Gybes need some work!

The board is so damn comfortable, every contour is in the exact right place where your feet land. Foil is forgiving and efficient.

I'll try and get some video next time!
