That place is awesome to watch for a laugh, absolute carnage on any sort of swell.

You have to laugh at some of the drop in's, the most blatant and dangerous I have seen.

Well that lunchtime was better than expected.
A few observations:
No need yet for the steamer. Wrong choice today... should have gone with the boardies and rashie.
My bad. Forgot my leggie. Did promote better wave selection and riding out the wave rather than kicking out.
Finally thankful for the 30 years of having the nose broken which causes water to be constantly caught in my sinuses. The frequent clearing of the water resulted in a zone of seclusion for me.....
Just realised I use a lot of ie's on the end of shortened words........

No social distancing going on at LBB - quite crowded given the small swell and the howling winds. Waist to occasional chest, but the 35knt SE made it hard going - never mind the constantly shifting rips... oh well, the water was nice.

PS - I went up later waiting for the wind to calm down - then waited until 11:00am before going out. Wind was just starting to drop at about 1:20pm as I was getting out. Not sure if it will LAGO - think it'll just swing South.

So, I visited the southern region on the weekend. A very pleasant beachie in a National Park. Despite the signs saying NO DOGS, there were a half dozen mutts on the beach. I just can't figure that out.

I think at least 1/2 of WA's surfers on leave are in the SW right now, its busy as. A lot of stranded backpackers too.

A few fun ones lining up along the guillotine's blade at my favourite west gold coast beachie today.
Social distancing certainly isn't a thing with the younger crowd. They think they are more immune or impervious than they might actually be. Still, that'll be more people off all classes of welfare I imagine...

I spoke with a guy who went over, surfed with 3 others and had a blast until the cops showed up. Threatened them with a $50000 fine and said they have to get back to him. They did and let it slide, but said next time 100% he will have to pay..

Had an appalling surf at North Mullaloo on Friday morning... took me 20min to park the car... so committed and went in when I knew it was poo! Got 10 'sloppy' waves in a little over an hour...

Was down towards Scarbs on Saturday and went earlier. Had good fun waist to chest waves with only a couple of others for an hour, then both the crowd and the Nth wind joined us and it was not as good... but the water was beautiful.

Did not bother Sunday or Monday - did jobs around the house and went for a couple of bike rides.

Classic straight handers on offer at Perth's second favourite beach break. At least there wasn't a lot of backwash?
