Drove up to Moffats today.
I don't think I've ever been to Caloundra in my life - but will go again.
Moffats was an intersting wave, at least in todays conditions, which was also at dead low tide.

The wave that kinda sits between Dicky's and Moffat's (maybe the one often referred to as Dicky's?) looked much more interesting, but much more crowded - and I was too short on time to check it out.

Beachies on the liw not doing it. Rather then wait and maybe not hapoen at all i surfed the alley on the 10 fter. Bigger and better then it looked from the car. Still plenty of push .

I really like this fin. Good balance of power , hold and turning. Set and forget

Mate finally it's great to see you have the correct fin for your log, that quad stuff on logs was never going to work but you had to work it out yourself it only took you 5 years but hey you got there in the end.

You need to get your eyes tested.
Never set the 10 fter up as quad.

Cheers mac

On the advice of a friend i went to thruster .
2 surfs in and its like a fire was lit.
Dynamic and fast
Might have something to do with getting treatment for really tight neck muscles ive been running around with for a long time.
I feel like 15 years been taken off my lifes account in the surf

Anyway that's my fin talk.
Hope that not to long winded

Quads are great for that cheap speed but the 3 fin option is better for all round Surfing IMO. Quads on anything excluding fishes / swallow tails don't seem right for me.

I kinda meant the cheap speed on take off when you are going straight ish. Definately think the thruster is better when you get the board moving.

Personally I reckon you've got too much fin area in the rear quads for the width of the tail. Drop the rear quads down to smalls or even sidebite kinda size and the board will come alive again. But if the thruster does it for you fuggetaboutit.
