How strong are the seabreezes there now?The forecast for next week seems to be 15 to 18 knots.will it get stronger than the forecast?
it often does particularly if just south of here has more wind. Check the next graph south of us it looks pretty good
I'm looking at the charts and looks ok to me, might be a week to crack out every kite size but I think most days will have wind. Im excited about tomorrow, looks epic, sat here at the lighthouse and our donga is rocking its so windy
how is it looking up there fellas for later this week?
I can see a lot of yellow arrows ... Our theory is that the reading is taken from Leamonth Airport so you can add 5knots .. is that wishfull thinking ??
Coming up Friday ... yeeeeow !! .....Diamond, TGCP , Turtle, keep a few exports on ice for me :)
Yep that's it there is stuff all wind on the east side of the peninsular.expect around 16 to 18 knots at grave yards.i was well powered on my 10 m reo and 5'2 nugget. Now I'm back at work on the south coast ... Bummer!A trip in October is on the cards!
Hi guys
Up in Exmouth now, graphs for today we're all yellow, however I was out on my new 7m pivot having a ball (86kg)
rest of the week is showing green arrows so should be really good
4hr session and back leg burn from so much toe side at graveyards
Stop in at Shark Bay and kite Denham foreshore......should be nice and windy and super flat......only thing is it will be onshore so be careful
just realised i asked the most stupid question EVER!
Have you just proposed
Was recently up there from 30th Sept til 7th of Oct and kited each day at Graveyards on 10 & 7m Reo's. I found the actual wind was almost always better than forecast on SB and kicked in from around 2:30 pm.
I got into a bit of trouble on the 8th as there wasn't quite enough wind for the 10m and lost massive downwind territory trying to keep the kite in the air during a lull. Subsequently got stuck out in the deep blue watching the swell crashing onto the reef at low tide. Fortunately managed to navigate my way through it and had a "nice" 400m walk dodging the urchins on the reef to the sand. Not the best way to end my last session on such a sensational trip but it was my fault for being over confident in the conditions.
Stayed at the Yardie Creek Homestead Caravan Park - a great base with fantastic hosts.
Hey all was up at Exmouth Sept - Oct and lost my 5-9 Jimmy Lewis Shak Orange and White at Woberi outer reef , would love to see it again, if not hopefully hewy is ripping on it .
Looks like October is back on again, who's still in town for a kite? Im thinking sandy bay for tomorrow
Cheers Tom, your advice was spot on and had my first run with a small hick up at the the which I recovered, Jodes smashed it- Sandy Bay was SIK! Dunes was head on on the sets as well??Jezza
