Hey there,

I am coming down from Vancouver, Canada next month - probably June or July for work.

I want to bring my gear but not sure if the wind is up and relatively close to the Sydney City Centre.

Can anyone tell me if there is good kiting this time of year? I'd prefer calm waters, but willing to push it.

Cheers - C

Pretty much reliant on fronts coming in with ssw-sw-w-nw diection, generally strong at first and can hang around for 2-3 days, find the right spot and should get some awesome kiting in. Im not Sydney based so couldn't comment on best locations but you would need to be prepared to travel a bit maybe an hour there abouts.

depending on weight, Im 95kg and 10m and 13m cover most, but at times looking for an 8.

I think worth bringing gear in that period you could expect maybe 5-6 days of awesome wind and another 5 or so pretty good days. flexibility to get out when its on then is your barrier.

+1 what Richoa said! You can take your gear easily on public transport to get to most bays/beaches.

Good luck!

Ya bru... you should save your twin tip and bring a snowboard. Snowkiting is on the cards. If not, you might get lucky and freeze your butt off. Be happy to show you some good spots.
