hi there Queensland kite crew

I'm hoping to pinch a quick week off with the missus in January and head over to your neck of the woods. Looking to see how the wind and waves are in January as to whether I add the kite and surfboard to the luggage allowance (I'm not in to flat water). If its pretty consistent is it better to go to surfers or the sunshine coast?

cheers for any advice
Brendan (from Perth, WA)

Sunshine Coast is my pic. If you don't enjoy over populated places and sitting jammed in traffic...
At Christmas time I stay well clear of the Gold Coast, but some people love the crowd's.

Lot's of great options on the Sunshine Coast to kite and do down winder's too, and the
people are a bit more relaxed up the coast.

I would pack the kit and stay somewhere around, Coolum, Peregian, Noosa. Better vibe than the GC and way less crowded.
