So the swell finally hit my place. Scored barrels till 12 then the wind came up. Then hit them with them with the kite with a NE seabreeze. Waves lined up perfectly with the swell. Throwing front side 5's and mobes was so easy with the swell direction. Best day on the water Iv had! hope you all get to make the most of the crazy conditions.
Peace.

Awesome, have you travelled up the road to the nth, looks like you may get a few days of it, cant believe its going to head right back up the coast we might get a splash mid week. I am hoping it crosses the coast and gives us some rain.

My 9m got ripped into 2 today.

There was a near miss behind me, one kite fell out of the sky and landed on my head.

Bridle lines around my head again... Just lovely.

I didn't panic this time. I had a wing tip in-front of my face and my bar was all caught in the kite.

I ejected, the other bloke let his kite go and we were swept onto Pincushion Island. Swell wasn't too bad so we didn't get slammed, just a knee graze.

Too much kiting drama in my life.

Pretty bummed so went and took photos in the water with the go pro.

just realised who you are hahahaha oh o looks like my days of anonymously talking **** on seabreeze are numbered. was wondering what you were doing with the gopro in the water.

i stayed in the furtherest downwind run so all my kooky bull**** didnt affect anyone else too much. they chose a real funny area for the comp. they should of carted everyone over to north shore and set off from there would of had entire place to themselves and all the grannys and drunkards could of watched in relative safety as opposed to us copping lulls dropping our kites on there heads in that mad rotor. but hay what do i know.

I'm sure you were probably effected by my kooky bull $h!t then. :) Well for the 20 mins of battling with too small a kite in too much sweep.

Why does everyone want to land their kites on your head?

course i know big dune :) ask the coastguards about the year some nutjob was kiting thru and living on all the islands with his home made water sled. they eventually got a hold of me and showed me a hell of alot of fishing photos of all the spots i was kiting hahaha shark city man after that i spent alot less time kiting to all the islands and alot more time closer to farnbrough

I'm fairly new to the kite surfing and seabreeze community and I'm wondering why loftywinds cops the red ones for pretty much every comment?

thaks for reminding me i had actually forgot to red thumb him hahaha

basicly the more you comment the more people you will upset so whoever has the most comments tends to get bombarded by "undeserved" red thumbs. the real point of it all is that the whole thumb thing doesnt mean ****. ive seen some absolutely terrible advice on here and it gets supported.

so if you care about the points or thumbs and **** your just going to stress for no reason. trick is to not use them as any sort of guide and take everything you read online with a pinch of salt. whatever the **** that means.

kemp the islands is a piece of piss. i did zilzie to grt keppel then grt keppell to pumpkin (xxxx island) then back so many weekends. you can get from xxxx to farnbrough in a half hour if you get a good trajectory. a few of the little ones were quite hard to land on so dont get to tempted. but i remember i started off by just dicking around practiceing on old macgregor or whatever that really close one was and it just kinda grew from there till i experimented with takeing camping gear with me etc etc

oh and talk to the local coastguard in rosslyn they were pretty helpful with navigating me away from the sharkiest of areas hahaha but they also would like a heads up on when your going to do any major crossings etc so yeah 15k aprox 30 minutes always double it if the winds a bit skewy and make sure you understand how higher level winds effect lower level winds time wise. dont want to end up staying night on island only to have her switch on you. had this happen a few times not unexpectidly but just not the right strength i was expecting but its pretty fool proof with farnbrough being there your going to get picked up by 4wd's on the weekend. easters a great time for this sort of **** lift wise (and rdo yo )

They all give me red thumbs because they cannot stand an 48yo kook that can kite, get cheap gear, modify it to make it work, and still get stoked out there for almost 90% off the price of what most young-guns pay for gear and lessons.
Oh and also because my opinion is seen as "dangerous", yet I know the reality compared to their glossy magazine-style training they've received either from a DVD or mates/trainer.
I learnt from Trial and Error, and got battered the hard way - so yeah I do know what I am talking about.
But meh... do young idiots listen to experience and wisdom these days unless one is black, a pro basketballer or footballer, with gold chains and skinny clad women by his side? Nah

Haha pretty sure those red thumbs originated from the big cluster**** Lofty started with a kite sale that went south. Named the seller as a crook, outed his real name on sea breeze but turned out lofty hadn't been so forthcoming with the actual events of the sale, including physically threatening the seller If I remember correctly. That was the day the internet turned on lofty, his real name came out and he has been red thumbed ever since. Nothing to do with his "dangerous" opinion.. Rofl!

pretty sure the thread has been deleted but it was some pretty funny internet drama. The internet never forgets Lofty.

LMAO.... The internet never forgets either what really happened, of which I have the real evidence for.

A storm in a tea cup.

I would love that dhead to produce some actual evidence I made about a so called "death threat" though. I have no idea where that came from. LOL....

Meh... You guys believe what ever you want.

I have kiters here and in Melbourne that know me well and appreciate what I know and have done for them and shared - unlike a couple of euros that tried to charge money for the use of our local beach once, just to launch and land our kites! LMAO... oh that was gold, pure gold.
