It's that time of year again!

22rd Dec!

23th back up.

1) South Wind - Cotton Tree to Yaroomba North Wind - Yaroomba to Cotton Tree
2) 2pm start.
3) Dress up- Santa Suit. $10 bucks at Kmart/Big W.
4) Bring a smile.
5) Beers at the end

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was contacted by AquaPlow who had a good ideas to make this years event bigger in terms of turnout.

If we have favorable conditions this year we should have a longer down winder that includes a larger section of the Sunny Coast.

We are thinking a 1pm Start at Peregian Beach and a 2pm start at Yaroomba. By starting at Peregian Beach we are adding another 7kms to the down winder!

Finish at Majimba or Maroochydore.

For all the people who live North, finishing at Majimba allows for easy transport home on the Coast bus.

Looks like Sunday is the day.

Treated with what looks like 20+ knot winds all day!

From a logistical point of view.

Starting at Majimba and ending at Yarooma will make for an easy return on the bus.

Whos up for a trip around Old Woman Island for giggles!

2pm kickoff.

Count me in.
Based on experience.. in these G8 fun conditions Have your Santa outfit for the camera...
Do not leave the pants on for the ride - they are nothing but trouble - bad trouble..
The top - if you want to wear it for the ride - .. just like the flexible fence hoarding around building sites . cut a number of decent sized 'V' (10-15 cms) into the cloth especially around your harness - to stop water bagging - it again is bad trouble..
The only judging is being able to have a Santa Cap on your head within 20-30 seconds of leaving the surf...
Safety over "what the heck"...
Plan is pick-up at Yaroomba and transport back to Mudjimba (food and refreshments at the shop / bar)...
Thanks for Kicking this off Underoath
Cheers
Hope to see U there...

From another year...
