Where's the wind at PD folks? Certainly been enjoying the sun but had enough time lazing around on the beach. According to the BOM and Willyweather there's not much wind in sight. And it seems that the PD wind readings are taken some way off cos there's no way it was blowing anything like 15 knots today!
Can anyone out there give me some hope that there's a chance of busting out a kite sometime soon?

We're waiting too. Season started in April and we'd be lucky to have had 5 days since then. I blame those damn southerners; keeping all the wind down their way so they can have some storms.

The start of the season is always more southerly and stronger off shore at the reef because there are usually the presence of the odd winter low but n the Tasman once they shift further south we get proper Tradewinds more from the south east a lot of crew come up too early in the year and miss best wind (ha ha I didn't say that ) definitely dry clear sky's are the best and when there a bit of heat coming back we get great conditions - it's nuking now hope your getting some ??

Constant wind the last 2 weeks. Took a while to come in, but it seems set now!

Hi. Heading to Cairns/PD from Melbourne in a couple of weeks. After advice of best spots for foiling, including downwinders. Thanks
