Hi,
I live in Canberra and am so excited to say that Ill be flying up to the Gold Coast mid June for an entire week- thank you Jetstar! Taking a whole week off of work to fly my Cabrinha Radar 10m. I only have one kite and one board so fingers crossed for good conditions for that size.
I don't have a place to stay yet and its just me. I would love to know some good spots anywhere from Sea World down to Burleigh heads. Im a beginner, had some lessons with Dan Sweeny's crew in Victoria and can 'almost' get on my board.
So please send me somewhere easy with no rocks. ??
Soooo friggin excited and hope to meet some more kiters!!!
Hi Kitebaby,
It's a bit hit and miss at that time of year and we tend to get gusty southerly and westerly wind.
Water temp will be around 19-20o
I would suggest Shearwater Park at Runaway Bay to be the best spot for u at ur skill level and the conditions we will get.
If you don't know where it is just click on this link....

Fingers crossed you score some wind while ur here.....enjoy!
U will only need a permit to kite if u visit Narrowneck
