Hi guys, just simple question. I have been riding for 1 year (almost every weekend) and is time for me to buy a decent board that helps me with my first 6m jumps. My main spots are Jurnell and Monterey, so I guess that's considered choppy water, right?
These are the 3 options Im handling
1) North Jaime 2018 NEW
2) Slingshot Misfit 2018 NEW
3) North Jaime Textreme 2017 USED
What do you think? what's the most recommendable for my conditions/locations?
Thanks in advance for your help

Love the misfit ! I've owned 2 of them.
You can score a bargain on an older model: slingshotaustralia.com.au/collections/clearance-sale?page=4

I'll take a look now, thanks. Kitepower doesn't sell North boards
Hi Amon,
The Misfit and Jaime boards are performance freeride boards with a bent of Freestyle. They are stiff and great boards to ride, but Botany chop is fierce.
The thing with jumping is having control and a good connection to the water on take off. Stiff boards tend to bounce you around a bit and make it much more difficult to maintain your edge. Height in jumps is very reliant on edging on take off. If you are not vaulting off the tail utilizing the stiffness of the freestyle boards, you would do better looking at something with a soft flex like the Shinn Monk or Duotone Select. You could also look for older model North X-Rides as they are similar. These boards will be much better and I guarantee you will jump bigger if you can control your board in overpowered conditions.

Thanks DM, I really appreciate your advice.I read awesome things about Shinn Bronq. Is it really that good for choppy?
Thanks again
what he said above...the two board choices you mentioned are not ideal.
Thanks eppo, I think I will try to find a Shinn Bronq, seems to be one of the best baords for choppy. Regards

yes it is, if you like to ride powered, the early edition was a fave of mine, the next imho was completly different, lost all the flex that you want in choppy conditions and a lot of feel by going heavier on build , the newbronq crb 4, is back to the original , been riding the ts from duotone north, great board but north duotone struggle to make a non spray board especially in chop conditions, in flat water it isnt an issue, the monk will cover most riders as mentioned, demo id say
