Not really a review but more of a stoke post. I just wanted to sing the prazes of my new and old mystic harness. If anyone has thought of swapping to the new hardshell harnesses, DO IT! I've never put a harness on and found it so amazing from the get-go. I literally didn't want to take this harness off, soooo comfortable.
Im not going to go into all of the sales s****, thats all on the you-tube but a quick search and you will see a heap of videos raving how good these things are.

As for my old mystic, well Im terribly upset by this product. I wanted to upgrade my harness a couple of years ago and it would break, so annoying as I couldn't justify upgrading when it still worked. In the end I gave up and the harness won. After 5 years of solid use its still in really good condition, only a couple of minor nicks. I really don't look after my gear, it lives in my car, constantly wet and never once washed so its a credit to mystic for the quality that it doesn't even look like letting go.

Anyhow few photos below of the old harness to show the above, its free to anyone that wants to collect it, might even have the original spreader bar around.

Good winds to all :)

What size did you get?
I'm looking at the mystic majestic x but I'm 30in around the belly button and can't decide between the XS and S

Mystic X

Most tidy, compact wave harness I've owned. One easy click in/out, everything is well positioned, opens up completely, key pockets etc. Comes with a line knife front and center in its own pocket. So many small things that combine to make it epic.

Sound silly but a big thing for me is a harness that doesn't rash up your belly. I'm dumb and like to kite without having to put on a wetsuit top occasionally and the material that mystic use dont rash you up like others do. Plus this doesn't move which helps.

I explained it to a mate it feels like wearing high end running shoes after volleys. So padded and spongy, yet super supportive.

hope they last longer than the ride engines, $450+ is a lot to spend on a harness

Ya and na, if you get 5 yrs of solid use, not too bad. I know what you are saying though, almost double some harnesses. Personally, the extra 200 is worth every penny.
Mine was 400 with spreader bar delivered.

I went from a Majestic softshell to the new Majestic X last year. It made my back issues worse, so Ive gone back to a warrior. Otherwise it felt comfy while it was on. I guess it can depend on the shape of your back.

I have the new stealth spreader bar, however, which is really good, and would be a great addition to the Majestic.

Haven't tried their harness but mystic wetties are awesome and I live in the town where ripcurl and qsilver began. Ripcurl still ok but overpriced and qsilver are crap now.
