Hi guys, due to interesting deals, i'm beetween those 2 kites. Nexus would come in 13.5m and 10m, Lithium in 14m and 10m
What i look in a kite:

-Fun. Looking for pretty fast turning and direct feel, pop edge, hooked backroll and frontroll (and wanna learn unhooked), small waves iven if i run a tt board
-Low end/grunty, as i am 95kg and sometimes some waves so i need some extra power. Really hate when a kite have poor low end. Usually when we have 13 knox i can see peples with 12m, and is hard for me to go with a 14m (even because i use a not light wind friendly board)

Could we say these kite can be similar in some way? I read everywhere Lithium is a beginner kite, but i think is lot more that that because is a 3 strut kite and cannot be compared with usual 5 struts beginner kite (cabrina sb for example).

Pretty much both have exelent quality building, probably core is N1 on this aspect
Despite i red lot of positives review about lithium, it seems it is slower. But actually i own a 17m and it go really
good in this aspect. But never tried other sizes.

Previous kite i tried

F1 BANDIT 10 and 14 Totally loved the 10, this is what i mean when i say a fun kite. 14 is more anonymous. Both kite leaks some low ends. 14m pull too much in high end too
Slingshot Rally 10 and 12m 12m is a pig truck slow but great low end very gruny and send you to the moon. Too much bar pressure. 10m lot of fun, exelent kite
Cabrina Fx 8m and 12m Very funny but very poor low and in my opinion
Lithium 17m With large bar, fast as no big kite i've tried before. Very funny
Core Xr5 10m and 13,5m Meanwhile 13,5m at the end of the day i like it because is very grunty and lot low end, huge boosting and exelent high end also. Never liked the 10m, it pull too much and already at 24-25knox is difficult. Also, both kites cant change direction too fast, and not as direct as i like it. Both kites go super in upwind, and both are very hard to pop edge

Wow two very different kites ... if you don't like tractor pull and bar pressure then go the nexus.

Both are very different kites. The Nexus will be the faster turning of the two due to its shape. The Lithium will have more bottom end for you.

I know very different. But wich is the difference beetween a great all arounder and a crossover?
Isn't lithium with his 3 struts can be pretty fun? i say this because i have a 17m and it's awesome, but i never tried a 10m for example and i could not compare with a switchblade or xr5 for example. Dont like these 2 kites and tring to avoid slow turning truck kites

I've owned lithium's over the years and have ridden the nexus. Nexus is a better all rounder and will reward active flying/riding. Much quicker will be better in the waves...also loops super fast, although stuff all pull...so again great for waves and for pussy loops. Lithium's a great beginner kite and maybe intermediate kite if you want to plug and play and not get too adventorious.

Both good kites, well built. Lithium has many years pedigree whilst the nexus is in its first GEn...

but you probably know all this don't you considering your plethora of posts on the nexus....

I had Lithiums for a couple of years still probably the most underated/unkown wave kite on the market. I am riding Core Nexus at the moment. For performance and speed the Nexus. The lithium has a nice smooth low end but maybe lacks excitement for a twin tip where the Nexus has whip like performance while still being smooth. You can throw more violent loops on it in freestyle setting and not pulling the loop as tight. While the nexus has medium bar pressure while just riding the yank when you turn it requires some muscle. Hope that helps

Yes absolutely. For nos i think i am more for lithium as my main kiting is freeride jumps, backroll frontroll, and some wave with tt. So i think lithium feets Better for the kiter i am and the spot i ride.
Do you think with lithium Will Be impossible try some loops if i will want to? Actually loops scare me a bit.
And for Just very simple railey or unhooked back or frontroll? I dont think this tricks requires any slack, especially railey. So in my mind i still am ok with lithium.

Not really a great freestyle kite. The loops will be soft loops

My wife rides a Lithium.
It's so forgiving in the loops. You can outrun the kite throw in a late loop and it won't punish you like my kite

I am 119kg and have had a Lithium 14/10 quiver for the last 6 years (2010/2012/2015 models).
Really loved the Lithiums. Grunty and stable. Have recently put back lines on "Low" setting to speed turning, but kept bridal on factory to distribute my weight better. Can fly the 10 quite aggressively. Usually run relatively high pressure, otherwise I get jelly-fishing deep in the window if I'm not moving - again, my weight can be a challenge.

Flew the 10m Lithium in gusty 20-30 knots at Fairhaven (Vic) on the weekend (9th Feb). It was OK, but I did have some issues with jelly-fishing deep in the window and at one point it was well over powered. I was kiting with an American bloke on a Core XR 10m. He was more skilled (sponsored??) but weighed in at 75kg (absolute max). He was handling the conditions way better than me. Boosting huge jumps, loads of hang time and the upwind run he did back to Moggs Creek was amazing. The Core didn't distort its shape at all in his session. Was a pleasure to watch.

Not come across Core all that often, but very impressed with the performance in pretty grubby conditions. If he was holding down a 10m in the same conditions with his weight, I dare say the bottom end is not as punchy as a Lithium, but the top end much more manageable (or so it seems). Was pretty quick in the air too. Looked good.

Lithium are a great kite. I've been flying them for years.
They do funning things in really gusty winds. Make sure you pump them up rock hard.

I own a 10m core Xr5 and i have the opposite problem. I found It so powerfull that Is very good at the bottom, but on the top i feel 25 with gust 30 Is absooutely his top.
Yes the kite mantain his shape and become very fast and more funny, but Is absooutely a monster power. Bought to boost big but they scare me when It come to use all their potencial.
More or less the same than you buy a sport motorcycle and you can drive but cant push it
