So guys, I'm just getting back into kiting after a few years away from the sport (**** me it's progressed) I've bought a 2019 Click Bar (Don't have it yet) and am having Delta Designs in Margaret River build me a board. 6'1" Directional quad. I will probably buy a 12m Pivot or maybe an Evo to start with. I'm a big unit. I want to do open ocean blasting/downwinders and some wave riding. Foiling maybe next season.
I just read an article about tuning click bars that has left me a bit confused. Do they trim the front lines or the rear? Do I set up the centre lines to the front of the Kite? Any and all opinions welcome.
They trim the rear lines.
Set up the kite lines as normal - centre lines to the bridle connections on the kite.
You are welcome
When you press the click button the back lines get longer = less power. Then for more power you wind the back lines back in with the windey thing.
In the middle of doing a comparison between the click bar and the shift bar (I have the Harlem with high Y split option). Will post a few thoughts when I have had a little more time to get used to the shift bar but early thoughts suggest that the click bar is a little more intuitive to use.
Don't forget to rinse the bar by opening the two plugs and also from time to time pull out the safety line and rinse through that hole and check the safety line for damage regularly.
