Hi all,
first post ever, had lessons and purchased all my gear. Want some advice on best beginner beaches. Happy to drive out of Sydney to try quieter beaches.

Always lots of beginers here (Brighton opposite Monterey street)

Can get busy, but at least that means there will always be someone to help you

Here's a few for you to consider....

Wanda - Only ever kited here in a NE breeze, a little bit gusty
Kernel - NW to NE, a good learners spot, very choppy, helpful locals
Sandringham - Only ever kited here in a SE breeze, very smooth
Dolls Point - Only ever kited here in a NE breeze, very choppy, helpful locals
Brighton CP3/CP1 - works for NE through to SSE. Very choppy with a decent wind. Good foiling location.
Fishermans (Collaroy) - Only ever kited here in a NE breeze. Small launch area and a few rock reefs.
Narrabeen - Only ever kited here in a NE breeze (SE should work), Can get some nice waves but they are often close to the shore line
Umina Beach - SSW to SE (NE is possible in the channel for the thrill seekers). Waves are not generally large, but a 400m ride is an acceptable replacement, helpful locals
Toowoon Bay - kited here in a NE, S, SSW (it is a very small area and prone to crowding) but a lot of fun
Picnic Point (The Entrance) - SW to NW, super smooth and super shallow (think two inches), generally gusty
Canton Beach (Toukley) - SW (SE should work), quite smooth close to shore, super choppy 200m out (you can surf the chop on big days!!!)
Norah Head (Hargreaves Beach) - NE to E, an ocean side spot that is protected (mostly) by a rock reef. Can get a nice swell travelling through gap
Budgewoi/Hali - N/NE/E - a good flat water spot, can get gusty, deep enough for foiling (will often work when Norah says 6 knots)
Birdie Beach to Norah Head - NE (E to SE should work), excellent downwinder location, great waves, odd shark, dolphin, turtle (don't do it alone)
Caves Beach/Hams Beach - NE to SE, great wave location
Swansea Channel (Salts) - NE, best flat water spot I have tried, really consistent summer breeze when it blows
Swansea Co-Op - SSW to W, a good flat water spot, super shallow, wear booties for the razor fish
Squids @ Belmont - NW to W, a good flat water spot, super shallow, wear booties for the razor fish
Marmong Point - S/SE, a good flat water spot, can get gusty, deep enough for foiling
Redhead to Blacksmiths - NE (E to SE should work), excellent downwinder location, great waves, odd humongous shark
Nobbies - NE, great surf location and also good behind the rock reef
Birubi - SW, one of the few good surf locations on the east coast, the wind is generally pretty consistent

Thanks for the advice, seen a few folks there but always drove on further around. Will come by the in future as the place I go seems to have a current taking you around the shore
