Hi all, does anyone have a recommendation on the best / most affordable way to send kites within Australia. I am guessing that Aussie Post is quite expensive ....
Thank you in advance
Sending one kite from coast to coast to major cities will cost you around $30-$50 (depending on weight and size) using your own packaging with Australia Post standard postage (approx 5 to 10 business days). Express post (approx. 2-5 business days) would be about $40 to $60. Add $20 to $30 for remote areas.
If you don't have a box, you can get these bags at Bunnings for $3 www.bunnings.com.au/wrap-move-70lt-moving-bag_p0038777 perfect for sending a kite.
You can get slightly cheaper rates via Sendle with similar delivery timeframes but they have more size restrictions compared to Australia Post.
Even considering delays, Australia post remains reliable and one of the most affordable options atm
hope this helps

We send heaps of kites with Australia, mostly with Austraila Post Express, signed for.
9-10m is about $25, including a bar, and arrives 2-5 days later depending on city and Covid restrictions.
Most couriers are slapping redelivey fees, or additional manual handling fees even if the customer picks up from depot. Because of this if we have to ship larger stuff we send to a commercial (work) address, or get ATL (authority to leave) instructions from purchaser, where it can be left unattended.
