LaNina prediction for east coast rest of this year and early next year.Predicted cyclones as well.
Unfortunately means unreliable Seabreezes.
Bugger hope their wrong.

recalling when it was forecast that an el nino would apply and thinking there would be lots of wind....but there wasnt any more than normal.. on that basis i am not too worried about la nina. any rain will thin the crowds on the beach and keep the one a month kiters at home on the couch and out of my way

Bit hard these days to get good seasons in a row without burning out most of the coastline.
Deffinitely not as hot and dry as last year so far which points to a LaNino for the east.

Thanks Bjw for putting up an in depth report behind a possible La Ni?a prediction for the rest of this year into the 2021.
We actually haven't had a decent cyclone for a number of years up north.
Higher than normal possibility.

Hey Leigh,

I always find the write-ups by the forecasters on Swellnet interesting reads.

Cheers.

All we seem to be getting is northerlies, I know is still spring, but even any westerly change or southerly buster runs out of puff or is mixed with tonnes of rain

Interesting read mate.So far up here Iluka Yamba area just a couple of north to north easters. One 18-25kt day.Temperature in the arvo and evening surprisingly cool.Had about a dozen light to moderate n to nneasters 5-10-12 kts perfect to foil.
So I think we will get the odd decent n/e days with a bunch of light to moderate days in between.
