What has this forum come to.. King of the air just on and no mention or comments.
There was some great kiting with a lot of firsts.. strapless, female, 3x pass attempt, etc.

Go the Orbits... Yeeeow.

Yep was it was epic the orbit is an awesome kite.
1st to Jesse.
1st to Nick for highest scored trick
1st to Jacobs for highest boost.
Plus 1st and 2nd overall.

They are a wicked kite indeed.

People are talking about the big boost from old mate that happened a month ago lol.
So they are on the ball on here for sure lol.
But that's just my crap opinion.

Go the Orbit.
Yee ha.
Unbeatable kite.

Well, it might be more of a visual spectacle if they hired more than one cameraman

Here you go - the whole comp replay

If Marc Jacobs spends more time in Cape town over the next year to get his timing right - It will be between him and Jessie, both hardcore next level riders.. Good to see Marc also adapt to his new teams North kite with little time on it.

Agreed. Marc is an animal, just came up against Jesse in the semi finals who was on fire.

I don't get the handle pass and dangly bit.... I am sure it takes serious guts to do it.... sort of reminds me of teabag swinging in the wind.

Shows variation. It won't win you the comp but it does seperate out the boogie mega loop crew and mega loop board off crew which is pretty much everyone now

King of the air is less interesting when the locals are going just as high with Boogeyloops anyway.

It blows me away the height and length of those jumps in Huge winds.
I sat and watched the 6+ hrs. I can't get enough of it.

What Incredible Kite skills of Jesse, Nick and Marc and what an Unbelieveable Kite design job Pat Goodman did with the North Orbit. His team placed in the finals twice in 12 months.

But, I guess he does have over 20yrs Kite design experience.

I'd love to have those skills and guts and Craziness.

I'm sure Jesse, Nic and Marc could be riding any of those kites and be killing it (particularly those three above as elder statesman and at the top of their game regarding this particular comp) ....But that won't stop the noobs reading, listening and buying based on such utter garbage as above. Just stop it.

I am with you. Funny how everyone was thinking one needs a C kite to even loop or jump or dangle and now you see Pivots and yes bloody Orbit and whatever else too. Who cares when you are a freak you can fly it all. Next year we might see a foil kite and strapless foil board tricks. Or a supersized wing thing

Yeah I was there watching it! 8 hours of pure gold didnt miss a second..., except when we had lunch at Tigers milk 50metres away with the event broadcast live on both TVs... Cape Town is the place to boost if you jump left foot forward. Broke my personal record with 15.6m only to place 72nd out of 300 riders with woo of the day. BTW olly bridge with all respect wouldnt stand a chance with his flatwater expertise :) water there is messy
