I'm watching 'Chapter One' and I see how proud they are to go to a remote location and encourage them to kite.

What's with the industry trying to grow the sport? Its now getting dangerous at my local with so many kiters.

I don't need better gear. Im happy to pay more for gear if the crowds were halved.

Edit- I just remembered how many mates I've encouraged to get into the sport.

It appears I'm a part of the problem.

If you're anything like me you tried to get your surfer mates into it but no one is interested because it is too complex for the cavemen to get their heads around wind direction and what happens if you're 'blown away'.

From what I can see kiting is an ageing population, so what will probably happen is there will be more crashes and deaths as the dementia kicks in, followed by a population drop.

Then wind wingers will move in to fill the vacant niche.

Then wind rollerblading will become a thing and hopefully by that stage the planet will be fried by global warming and we won't have to witness that horrors

Manufacturers wouldn't give one toss to our tiny market. So don't stress. Growth in other areas of the world is what counts.

Mate I hope it grows and GROWS big time! Mums, Dads, the lot! Anything to get rid of those fat 50-60 yo looking pedos skating at our local skate parks thinking they are 15yo or something.

Not sure I want fat 60 yo pedo at my beach. They can stay at your skate parks.

No need to worry folks the number of mamils on the road (myself included) will keep the level of interest down.

The wannabe Contadors or Cadels far outnumber the Airton wannabes.

If your spot is too crowded go somewhere else (sorry for those who live in Sydney)

In vicco the wind is better in winter than in summer. Cold fronts are tonnes more fun than boring seabreezes.

When I was 14 I referred to female pedos as Cougars. At that time I preferred under 60kgs.
