Would you imagine kiteboarding to make a good reality TV show?

What about if you put four Russian contestants who know nothing about the sport, into one house on Mauritius, for two weeks, with the aim of entering one in the prestigious Mauritius Kite Jam?

Now we’re talking, and what better place for it to happen than Mauritius. Blessed with steady trade winds and a huge lagoon at Le Morne, home of the famous One Eye surf break, Mauritus is now known as one of the most popular places in the world to go on a kite holiday.

But can you teach a singer, a musician, a businessman and a photographer to kiteboard in two weeks? You bet you can, but getting them to competition level?

That’s another story.

Now before you expect to see handle passes and tricks… This is a ‘Fun Race’ competition in the Kite Jam. Downwind Slalom in the flats, on twintips, so the skill level isn’t exactly PKRA standard.
